Maria Fedele is a registered Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience in the community and private sectors, helping people live healthy, enriched and emotionally connected lives.

Maria qualified as a psychologist in 1995, completing undergraduate and post graduate studies at Latrobe University, Bundoora. Maria’s special interest areas include anxiety disorders, stress management, depression, OCD, alcohol and drug use, health/weight issues, relationships, life transition and adjustment, trauma and post traumatic stress.

Maria’s approach to counselling is based on warmth, collaboration and integrity. She believes in establishing a supportive therapeutic relationship which forms the basis of successful counselling, helping you to explore your emotions and experiences safely. Using the brain-based approach of Neuropsychotherapy, Maria works with you to understand behaviours and emotions, exploring the interplay between mind, body, relationships and the environment. Maria uses the evidence-based practice of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy together with mindfulness strategies, working together to increase your ability to achieve wellness and make lasting change.

Referral

A referral for individual counselling is not required, however, if you wish to receive a rebate for your session, you will need to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP or Psychiatrist.

A MHCP will provide up to 10 individual counselling sessions per calendar year, and the current rebate is $84.80 per session.

Cost of Service

 $170 business hours/60 minute session

Cancellation fee

A fee of $100 is charged for cancelling or rescheduling appointments with less that 48 hours notice.
